To Black Out or Not to Black Out
2012Acceleration (G) is one of the most demanding aspects of flying a highperformance fighter jet. As many as one in 10 pilots reports episodes of gravityinduced loss of consciousness (G-LOC - pronounced “gee-lock”) while flying aerobatic maneuvers, although the real incidence is probably higher because GLOC often causes amnesia.
