Factors Associated With the Rising Trend in Self‐Reported Cognitive Disability Among U.S. Adults Aged 18–39 From 2013–2024

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Building on our prior Behavioral Risk Factor Surveillance System analysis identifying adults aged 18–39 as the primary driver of the national increase in self‐reported cognitive disability, we examined factors associated with this rise using 2013–2024 U.S. BRFSS data. Methods We analyzed U.S.

Three-charge black holes and quarter BPS states in Little String Theory [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2015
We show that the system of $k$ NS5-branes wrapping $\mathbb{T}^4\times S^1$ has non-trivial vacuum structure. Different vacua have different spectra of 1/4 BPS states that carry momentum and winding around the $S^1$. In one vacuum, such states are described by black holes; in another, they can be thought of as perturbative BPS states in Double Scaled ...

Safety and Efficacy of GLP‐1 Receptor Agonists in Adults With Epilepsy, Obesity, and Type 2 Diabetes

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Managing obesity in patients with epilepsy is complicated by the weight‐gaining properties of essential antiseizure medications (ASMs) such as valproate and pregabalin. We evaluated the safety and efficacy of initiating glucagon‐like peptide‐1 receptor agonists (GLP‐1 RAs) in this population.

The Chern-Simons natural boundary and black hole entropy

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
The method of resurgent continuation of transseries reveals a new correspondence between the q-series for enumerating degeneracies of quarter-BPS states in supersymmetric black holes and Z ̂ $$ \hat{Z} $$ invariants of Chern-Simons theory on a class of 3

Mock modularity from black hole scattering states

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2018
The exact degeneracies of quarter-BPS dyons in Type II string theory on K3 × T 2 are given by Fourier coefficients of the inverse of the Igusa cusp form.

Diffuse MRI Edema Predicts Relapse in Cerebral Amyloid Angiopathy–Related Inflammation

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To identify MRI predictors of relapse and quantify relapse and mortality risk in cerebral amyloid angiopathy–related inflammation (CAA‐RI). A secondary objective was to assess the association between mycophenolate mofetil use and relapse risk. Methods We performed a retrospective cohort study of 36 patients with CAA‐RI treated at the

Mock modularity of twisted index in CHL models

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We study the twisted partition function of quarter BPS states in CHL models and show that for a large class of single-centered black holes, the degeneracy of microstates is given by the Fourier coefficients of mock Jacobi forms.

Anticoagulation Treatment Response Among Phenotypic ESUS Clusters: Evidence From CASPR

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate treatment effect heterogeneity across phenotypic clusters of patients with cryptogenic embolic stroke using causal inference methods. Methods From a retrospective, multicenter cohort of patients with cryptogenic embolic stroke, we estimated the treatment effect of anticoagulation versus antiplatelet therapy in patients ...
