Blade Load Reconstruction from Embedded Strain Measurements
Proceedings of the Vertical Flight Society 78th Annual Forum, 2022Rotorcraft blades are subject to significant dynamic loads both in standard and critical operating conditions. The knowledge and the prediction of the produced aerodynamic loads could represent an advantage in preventing failures on the rotorcraft, but also to avoid unnecessary inspections and reduce the downtime of the aircraft.

Turbine Blade Loading and Experimental Verification

Design of new turbine blade is tested on experimental stand, where load situation is similar to load of rotor blade of steam turbine during operation. Real load of blade and boundary condition on experimental stand was monitored by means of strain gauges set.

BLADE: A Broadband Loaded Antenna DEsigner
IEEE Antennas and Propagation Magazine, 2006This paper presents a software tool for designing loaded antennas equipped with matching networks for broadband or multi-band applications. The software implements a genetic algorithm to automatically optimize the large set of parameters involved in the design procedure.

Wind Turbine Rotor Blades under Fatigue Loads
1990To investigate fatigue life of wind turbine rotor blades DLR operates a 100 kW wind energy converter with 25 m diameter rotor at its test site in Southern Germany. Additionally, fatigue tests on Gl-Ep material and full scale components are carried out at the laboratory. Results of these investigations are presented.
