Optimization Design of Wind Turbine Blades Based on BLADED

Advanced Materials Research, 2012
The optimization of wind turbine blades can increase the generator power and annual output of electricity. Illustrated by the case of 2MW wind turbine, optimizing the blade chord and twist angle by POS algorithm. Modeling by BLADED, analysis the change of lift and drag coefficients, the power coefficient, maximum power of wind turbine, minimum power of

Wind Blade Repair Optimization

American Society for Composites 2020, 2020
Wind Turbine blades are constantly exposed to extremely adverse environmental conditions throughout their operation. As a result, they inevitably suffer damage from erosion, exposure as well as more acute incidents such as lightning strikes and extreme wind speeds.

Numerical Optimization of Turbomachinery Bladings

Journal of Turbomachinery, 2003
An optimization process is used to design bladings in turbomachinery. A gradient-based method is coupled to Navier-Stokes solvers and is applied to three different bladings. A new rotor blade of a transonic compressor is designed by using a quasi three-dimensional approach, with a significant efficiency improvement at the design point.

Wind Blade Material Optimization

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2011
In recent years the wind turbine blade has been the subject of comprehensive study and research amongst all other components of the wind turbine. As our appetite for renewable energy from the wind turbine continues to increase, companies now focus on rotor blades which can go up to 80m in length.

A Procedure for Axial Blade Optimization

Journal of Engineering for Power, 1979
This paper proposes a method to modify the geometry of an axial blade to obtain a better stress distribution without compromising the aerodynamic design. The method is applied to an axial blade and is most relevant to those blades with a high degree of twist, such as for instance fan blades.

Optimization of Gravel Road Blading

Journal of Testing and Evaluation, 2018
Abstract Blading maintenance of gravel roads is important to ensure that the functional performance of the road is optimal and that vehicle operating costs are minimized. In order to optimize the blading cycles, a system is required to monitor the functional performance of the road and inform the blading need.

Blading Optimization

Transportation Research Record: Journal of the Transportation Research Board, 2011
The first attempt to develop and implement an optimization module to minimize agency costs and vehicle operating costs in the Western Cape, South Africa, was considered unsuccessful. Routines incorporated the current roughness of the road; deterioration as a result of traffic, climate, and materials; and improvement in roughness after the road was ...
