Cytoskeleton, EarlyView.ABSTRACT In this paper we describe a technique to make a confined environment of variable stiffness that is suitable for high‐resolution live‐cell imaging. This versatile and adaptable technique enables cell confinement between soft elastic surfaces made from polyacrylamide gels.
