Experimental Investigation of the Blade Tip Timing (BTT) Uncertainties [PDF]
The uncertainties of blade tip displacement measurement using BTT are investigated through experiments. A novel test bench is established where the blade deformation can be measured simultaneously by laser displacement sensors and BTT, which enables the determination of the BTT measurement error.

Abstract Identifying the mistuning parameters and calibrating the finite element model (FEM) of the mistuned blisk in real-time is a meaningful way to acquire the blisk’s dynamic characteristics and predict its stress response. Because of the wearing and other reasons, the blisk’s mistuning is changing during the operation. Hence a BTT based rotating-

A stochastic hybrid blade tip timing approach for the identification and classification of turbomachine blade damage [PDF]
Blade Tip Timing (BTT) has been in existence for many decades as an attractive vibration based condition monitoring technique for turbomachine blades. The technique is non-intrusive and online monitoring is possible.
