Static and dynamic analysis of 1 220 mm steel last stage blade for steam turbine [PDF]
The 3 000 rpm 1 220 mm blade for a steam turbine was developed with application of new design features. The last stage moving blade is designed with an integral cover, a mid-span tie-boss connection and a fir-tree dovetail.

Vibration Characteristics of Composite Pan Blades and Comparison with Measured Data [PDF]
The vibration characteristics of a composite fan blade for high-tip-speed applications were determined theoretically and the results compared with measured data. The theoretical results were obtained using a computerized capability consisting of NASTRAN coupled with composite mechanics by way of pre- and postprocessors.

E. coli Extracellular Matrix: A Tunable Composite With Hierarchical Structure
The complex composite‐like mechanical behavior of E. coli biofilm matrix is the result of a synergic contribution of the rigid curli and swelling pEtN‐cellulose, and emerges from specific ratio and assembly conditions. The interactions between the two fibers govern biofilm hydration and characteristic wrinkling patterns, providing crucial insights for ...
