Abstract Peak snowpack in the western USA has decreased 21% since the mid‐20th century, and these trends are forecasted to continue over the next century. In water‐limited systems, forest productivity during the growing season is assumed to be linked with snowpack during the previous winter, but this linkage has proven not to be universal in studies ...

Erratum to: Evaluation and calibration of Blaney–Criddle equation for estimating reference evapotranspiration in semiarid and arid regions [PDF]
Penman–Monteith (FAO-56 PM) equation is suggested as the standard method for estimating evapotranspiration by the International Irrigation and Drainage Committee and FAO. On the other hand, the Blaney–Criddle (BC) temperature-based equation is an alternative and simple method compared with the FAO-56 PM equation.

Historical Rainfall and Evapotranspiration Changes over Mpologoma Catchment in Uganda
Changes in the long‐term (1948–2016) rainfall and evapotranspiration over Mpologoma catchment were analysed using gridded (0.25° × 0.25°) Princeton Global Forcing data. Trend and variability were assessed using a nonparametric approach based on the cumulative sum of the difference between exceedance and nonexceedance counts of data.

Performance of Some Evapotranspiration Equations in an Arid Region
Estimation of evapotranspiration is necessary for planning, design and irrigation design and water resources management. In order to determine the best method to estimate evapotranspiration using data of Qom synoptic meteorological stations during the ...

ABSTRACTAccurate daily reference evapotranspiration (ETo) forecast is essential for real-time irrigation scheduling. An attempt was made to forecast ETo using the Blaney–Criddle (BC) model and temperature forecasts in this study. Daily meteorological data for the period 2000–2014 at five stations in East China were collected to calibrate and validate ...
