Finding novel vulnerabilities of hypomorphic BRCA1 alleles
Synthetic lethality screens performed to identify novel vulnerabilities often model complete gene loss, thereby overlooking patient‐derived hypomorphic mutations. In this study, we have performed genome‐wide CRISPR screens on BRCA1 hypomorphic mutations, showing BRCA1I26A behaves like wild‐type, while BRCA1R1699Q mimics deficiency. Furthermore, we have

Radiation-induced variation in blast disease resistance in rice
A rice variety widely grown in Taiwan, Taichung No. 65, belonging to the “Horai” or Japonica type and suseptible to the blast desease(caused by Piricularia oryzae), was used for this irradiation experiment. The kinds and dosages of radiation used were gamma-ray (form Co60 source, 11 Kr), X-ray (20Kr and 25Kr), and thermal neutron (15hrs.

Plants, being sessile, are exposed to an array of abiotic and biotic stresses. To adapt towards the changing environments, plants have evolved mechanisms that help in perceiving stress signals wherein phytohormones play a critical role. They have the ability to network enabling them to mediate defense responses. These endogenous signals, functioning at

Genome-Wide Association of Rice Blast Disease Resistance and Yield-Related Components of Rice
Robust disease resistance may require an expenditure of energy that may limit crop yield potential. In the present study, a subset of a United States Department of Agriculture rice core collection consisting of 151 accessions was selected using a major ...

Oncogenic DMTF1β promotes cancer cell motility by regulating autophagy through ULK1 stabilization
In the current study, we demonstrate that the oncogene DMTF1β regulates ULK1 stability by reducing its proteasomal degradation in cancer cells. This stabilization enables ULK1 to induce autophagy, which in turn facilitates cancer cell migration. Consequently, reduced DMTF1β levels lead to decreased autophagy and impaired cancer cell migration.

Analysis of Blast Disease Resistance Induced by Probenazole in Rice

Panicle blast 1 (Pb1) resistance is dependent on at least four QTLs in the rice genome
Background Rice blast is the most serious disease afflicting rice and there is an urgent need for the use of disease resistance (R) genes in blast tolerance breeding programs.

Single‐cell multi‐omics reveals epigenetic heterogeneity across therapy‐adaptive tumor states, including quiescent/dormant, drug‐tolerant persister, and EMT‐like phenotypes. By linking regulatory features with state‐associated biomarkers, these approaches inform biomarker‐guided therapeutic strategies for evolving tumors.
