Nymphal and Oöthecal Comparisons of Blattella asahinai and Blattella germanica (Dictyoptera: Blattellidae)

Journal of Economic Entomology, 1988
Oothecae, first instars, and late instars of the Asian cockroach, Blattella asahinai Mizukubo, are compared with those of B. germanica (L.). First oothecae are visibly smaller than those of B. germanica . The difference is due to a smaller size of individual egg compartments rather than to the number of compartments per ootheca.
