Sensorless BLDC Control Method

2020 IEEE 26th International Symposium for Design and Technology in Electronic Packaging (SIITME), 2020
This paper proposes a new control method for BLDC motors using sensorless trapezoidal control capable of regenerative braking, designed to be used on low-power and moderate computational power microcontrollers. It exhibits good performance on systems where the load does not have abrupt changes over time and the requirements for efficiency are not very ...

Concentric Winding BLDC Motor Design

IEEE International Conference on Electric Machines and Drives, 2005., 2005
Concentric winding method is preferred for low cost permanent magnet (PM) motors applicable to home appliances. The MMF of the concentric winding looks like a square function so that it has severe space harmonics. To minimize the torque ripple, special effort needs to be applied to reduce the rotor field harmonics, since they make EMF harmonics in ...

Real time exploited BLDC motor drive BLDC motor drive in lab view virtual instrumentation environment

Materials Today: Proceedings, 2021
Abstract The brushless dc motor motors (BLDCMs) have an exceptional increasing demand in low powered electrical vehicle and commercial applications as their speed-torque performance, size and cost matters quite improvise than other motors. However the control of BLDCM motor is quiet complex and fitting of it into the application is very specific and ...

Position control of BLDC motors

Advances in Optical and Mechanical Technologies for Telescopes and Instrumentation III, 2018
Fiber spectroscopic telescopes are important tools for astronomy research. In spectroscopic telescopes, the positioning of thousands of fibers on the focal plane is a big issue, which is usually solved by some compact structured devices with small-size motors installed. Stepper motors are normal choice for fiber positioner, however, stepper motors’ low

Design of compact BLDC drive

2011 1st International Electric Drives Production Conference, 2011
Brushless DC motor is currently well known and widely used in industry. However, electrical drives are usually assembled using several separate components like motor, control and power system. In contrary to this approach, the article describes developed compact electrical drive comprising all of them in one casing.

Development of a hybrid MEMS BLDC micromotor

2009 IEEE Energy Conversion Congress and Exposition, 2009
This paper addresses the design of a new hybrid MEMS micromotor. It is a small 3-phases axial flux BLDC motor. The stator is realized following the almost CMOS technology rules used for MEMS manufacture and the coils have two copper layers. The rotor is made of a standard ring permanent magnet assembled over the stator chip.

Comparation of the slotless brushless DC motor (BLDC) and slotted BLDC using 2D modeling

2014 International Conference on Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (ICEECS), 2014
The advantages and disadvantages of slotted brushless DC motor (BLDC) and slotless BLDC make the user confused when they want to choose BLDC motors. The objective of this research was to describe the characteristic of slotted BLDC and slotless BLDC using 2D finite element method.
