Enhanced and Durable Light‐Driven Hydrogen Evolution by Cobalt‐Based Prussian Blue Analogs in Phospholipid Bilayers

open access: yesAdvanced Energy and Sustainability Research, EarlyView.
Light‐driven H2 evolution catalysis is reported for oleylamine‐capped MCo Prussian blue analogs (PBAs, M = Ni, Co, Zn, Cu) within phospholipid bilayers and using a ruthenium‐based amphiphilic photosensitizer. The hydrophobic interactions between the active units bring them in close proximity facilitating catalysis.

π‐Bridged Dimer Strategy of Aggregation‐Induced Emission Molecules to Achieve Very Strong Absorption Ability

open access: yesAggregate, EarlyView.
An efficient design strategy is proposed to significantly improve the absorption abilities of AIE molecules. The obtained new AIE molecules indeed exhibit very strong absorption ability. Their molar absorption coefficients up to 95,400 M−1 cm−1 represent one of the state‐of‐the‐art results among the reported AIE molecules.

2D/2D MOF/MXene Schottky Junction: Prolonged Carrier Lifetime and Enhanced Hydrogen Evolution Efficiency

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
This study designs an innovative 2D/2D Schottky heterojunction by integrating a 2D MOF with exfoliated Ti3C2 MXene. The MXene serves as a hole‐accumulation center, effectively enhancing charge carrier separation, prolonging carrier lifetimes, and achieving an impressive hydrogen evolution rate of 5000 µmol gcat−1 under visible‐light irradiation ...

m6A Modulates RAN Translation From CAG Repeat Expansion RNA

open access: yesAggregate, EarlyView.
We described a novel role of N6‐methyladenosine in promoting non‐canonical repeat‐associated non‐AUG translation from CAG repeat expansion RNA. ABSTRACT Nucleotide repeat expansions contribute to the development of a number of neurodegenerative diseases.

Integrating Multifunctionalities into a 3D Covalent Organic Framework for Efficient CO2 Photoreduction

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
By integrating nitrogen‐rich supramolecular cages and porphyrin moieties as well as single‐atomic metal ions (Co2+ and Ni2+) together, two metalated photoactive covalent organic frameworks are constructed for efficient photocatalytic CO2 reduction. Abstract Fabrication of highly efficient photocatalysts for CO2 conversion is still challenging.

BOPHY Dyes Bearing Arylsulfenyl Moieties as Highly Efficient Triplet Photosensitizers

open access: yesAsian Journal of Organic Chemistry, EarlyView.
A new set of symmetric BOPHY dyes has been successfully applied in photoinduced processes acting as triplet photosensitizers. They have been used not only in bimolecular systems for photon upconversion based on triplet‐triplet annihilation but also in generating singlet oxygen for oxidation processes.
