Molecular phylogenetics and generic taxonomy of Blechnaceae ferns
TAXON, 2014AbstractThe fern family Blechnaceae is cosmopolitan; however, the vast majority of species are placed inBlechnum, which occurs predominantly in the Southern Hemisphere. There are two areas that are particularly species–rich: the south–west Pacific (including Australasia), and Central and South America.

Die Entwicklungsgeschichte der Blattnervatur beim FarmStenochlaena tenuifolia (Blechnaceae)
Plant Systematics and Evolution, 1975Morphogenesis determines histogenesis both in primary leaves and in leaves of mature plants ofStenochlaena at different stages of development. The procambial strands are formed successively from the inner, more advanced parts of the leaf towards the margin, influenced by the main direction of growth. Changes in the direction of growth, e.g.

Revision of Blechnum (Blechnaceae) in Malesia
2001In a taxonomic revision of the genus Blechnum of the Malesian region 20 taxa (17 species and 3 subspecies) are recognised. Much of the past confusion over names, especially of the Papua New Guinea taxa, has been the result of some species being based on inadequate, often single, collections.
