Abstract Background: Temozolomide (TMZ) is an effective oral alkylating agent used in treating various malignancies. It works by introducing methyl groups into DNA, inhibiting cell division. While highly effective in treating glioblastoma multiforme (GBM) and high-grade gliomas, TMZ use is associated with increased adverse event risks.
