The Scope of the Medical Exception in Criminal Law

Many medical procedures involve the causation of serious injury by doctors to their patients. Yet when accepted as ‘proper medical treatment’, doctors incur no criminal liability for their actions, per the ‘medical exception’ in criminal law.
