Blind detection of multiple audio watermarks

Proceedings First International Conference on WEB Delivering of Music. WEDELMUSIC 2001, 2001
The paper presents the extension of an audio watermarking approach to the blind detection of multiple watermarks. The underlying statistical watermarking method working in the Fourier domain with different test functions is investigated. The extension of this semiprivate watermarking method to enable blind detection is presented.

Detection of diabetic blindness with Deep-Learning

2020 IEEE International Conference on Bioinformatics and Biomedicine (BIBM), 2020
Diabetes is one of the significant causes of blindness, especially among aged adults. As diabetes increases, the vision starts to deteriorate, which is called as diabetic retinopathy. The longer a person has diabetes and the less the blood sugar is controlled, the higher chance the person has diabetic retinopathy.

Ground and Floor Topography Detection for the Blind

Proceedings of the 6th International Conference on Bioinformatics and Biomedical Science, 2017
This paper presents a system that helps the blind detect topography changes on the floor and the ground such as steps and other obstacles. A simple, efficient approach measures the distance from the user's head to the ground and detects changes that represent a step up or a step down.

Blind MMSE-Constrained Multiuser Detection

IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, 2008
In this paper, blind multiuser detection is studied for a direct-sequence (DS) code-division multiple access (CDMA) system with unknown multipath channels. The receiver is designed to follow a minimum mean-square-error (MMSE) form parameterized by a channel-like constraint vector, which is then optimized by the conventional constant modulus algorithm ...

Blind Detection Based on Color SIFT

2020
Blind detection algorithm based on keypoints has a small amount of computation and faster speed, however, its accuracy is lower, comparing with blind detection based on block. One factor is that keypoints are extracted in a grayscale image, which leads to loss of the color information of the image.

Detection of Carriers of Haemophilia: a ‘Blind’ Study

British Journal of Haematology, 1975
Summary. A ‘blind’ study has been made to try to find out if it is possible to diagnose carriers of haemophilia. A group of 34 obligatory carriers of haemophilia were compared with 34 normal women. Levels of factor VIII activity, factor VIII‐related antigen, factor V and ratio of factor VIII activity to factor VIII‐related antigen were measured.

Space-Time Block Codes: Trained, blind and semi-blind detection

IEEE International Conference on Acoustics Speech and Signal Processing, 2002
Space-Time Block Coding (STBC) requires knowledge of the channel at the receiver. In practice the channel has to be estimated. In this paper we consider three estimation/detection schemes and compare their performances. In particular we introduce a blind scheme which does not require the transmission of pilot symbols to estimate the channel.

Blind multiuser detection via interference identification

IEEE Transactions on Communications, 2002
Previous results on blind multiuser detection apply in situations where the signal parameters of the users of interest are known, and those of the interferers; are unknown. In this paper, we consider the new paradigm of an N-user system, in which K users are active, and the problem is to detect G users of interest out of those K active users when the ...
