Multiple access interference suppression for CDMA systems via ℓ∞-minimization [PDF]

open access: yesFundamental Research, 2022
A key problem in code-division multiple access (CDMA) system is to mitigate the multiple access interference (MAI) from other users while detecting the desired user.

Two approaches to multiuser detection over fading channels

open access: yesДоклады Белорусского государственного университета информатики и радиоэлектроники, 2021
In this paper, two different receiver structures to multiuser detection that are appropriate for the code-division multiple-access systems with antenna arrays in fading channels are investigated and compared. We analyze and compare the performance of the

Blind multiuser detection using linear prediction [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications, 1998
We propose a blind multiuser detection technique for array processing and code division multiple access (CDMA) systems that does not require knowledge of the array geometry or transmitter signature sequences. The technique has two key elements: an adaptive algorithm for separating the signal subspace from the noise subspace and an adaptive whitener ...

The Kalman Filtering Blind Adaptive Multi-user Detector Based on Tracking Algorithm of Signal Subspace

open access: yesInformation, 2015
Multi-user detection is an effective method to reduce multiple access interference in code division multiple access (CDMA) systems. This paper discusses a signal subspace based blind adaptive multiuser detector and a Kalman filtering blind adaptive ...

Blind multiuser identification and detection in CDMA systems [PDF]

open access: yes1995 International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 2002
Multiuser detection in code division multiple access systems usually requires either knowledge of the transmitted signature sequences and channel state information or use of a known training sequence for adaptation. We develop a scheme that can be employed for the joint adaptive blind multiuser identification and detection in asynchronous CDMA systems.

Blind adaptive Krylov subspace multiuser detection

open access: yesIEEE 54th Vehicular Technology Conference. VTC Fall 2001. Proceedings (Cat. No.01CH37211), 2002
A new method for low-complexity Multiuser Detection (MUD)based in the Fast Subspace Decomposition (FSD) is proposed. The use of FSD allows the estimation of the number of users along with the multiuser detection on line. This leads to a fast multiuser estimation-detection scheme with ultra-low complexity.

Blind multiuser detection using hidden Markov models theory [PDF]

open access: yesProceedings of ISSSTA'95 International Symposium on Spread Spectrum Techniques and Applications, 2002
We present an adaptive algorithm based on the theory of hidden Markov models (HMM) which is capable of jointly detecting the users in a DS-CDMA system. The proposed technique is near-far resistant and completely blind in the sense that no knowledge of the signature sequences, channel state information or training sequences is required for any user.

Natural gradient based blind multiuser detection

open access: yesThe 13th IEEE International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications, 2003
In this paper, novel structures for dynamic removal of multiuser interference are proposed. The natural gradient (NG) is used either to compute whitening matrices in linear blind minimum MSE or to develop new structures. As a result, we propose a family of centralized and non-centralized multiuser detectors (MUD's).

Kalman Filter-Based Chip Differential Blind Adaptive Multiuser Detection for Variably Mobile Asynchronous Underwater Multiuser Communications

open access: yesIEEE Access, 2018
To mitigate the inter-symbol interference (ISI), multiple access interference (MAI), and the effect of different Doppler shifts within a data package incurred in variably mobile asynchronous underwater multiuser communications (VMAUMC), a Kalman filter ...
