Space-Time Blind Multiuser Detection for Multiuser DS-CDMA and Oversampled Systems
Wireless Personal Communications, 2010Novel space-time blind multiuser detection method for multiuser DS-CDMA and oversampled systems is presented. To achieve signal recovery, Khatri-Rao product structure of the space-time channel matrix of received signals and rank-1 projection strategy are exploited.

Blind multiuser detection for CDMA with multipath: a direct method
2000 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing. Proceedings (Cat. No.00CH37100), 2002In this paper we consider the blind multiuser detection problem for asynchronous DS-CDMA systems operating in a multipath environment. Using only the spreading code of the desired user, we first estimate the column vector subspace of the channel matrix by multiple linear prediction.

Robust blind multiuser detection for synchronous CDMA systems
2003 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 2003. Proceedings. (ICASSP '03)., 2004The performance of blind multiuser detection methods is known to degrade in the presence of mismatches between the actual and the presumed desired user signatures. Such mismatches may occur in practical situations due to an imperfect knowledge of the channel impulse response. We propose a new robust approach to blind multiuser detection in the presence

Semi-blind decorrelating multiuser detection for synchronous CDMA
2003 IEEE Wireless Communications and Networking, 2003. WCNC 2003., 2004Multiuser detection is a key technology for combating multiple access interference (MAI) in CDMA systems. In this paper, we propose three effective one-shot multiuser semi-blind decorrelating detectors based on least squares (LS), total least squares (TLS) and mixed LS/TLS (MLS) formulations.

Averaging blind sign algorithms for adaptive multiuser detection
2001 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing. Proceedings (Cat. No.01CH37221), 2002This paper illustrates the use of "averaging" to improve the convergence rate of adaptive sign regressor and sign error multiuser detectors. The ingenious concept of averaging was invented by Polyak (1990) - this paper analyses the performance of averaging in the sign error and sign regressor adaptive blind multiuser detection algorithms in DS/CDMA ...

Blind multiuser detection algorithms based on set theory
12th IEEE International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications. PIMRC 2001. Proceedings (Cat. No.01TH8598), 2002This paper proposes three blind multiuser detection algorithms based on set theory. They all originate from the set-membership filter (SMF). Our algorithms have some advantages over traditional adaptive algorithms. First, They provide region estimates in addition to point estimates. Second, they exhibit better convergence due to the optimization of the

A novel nonlinear group-blind multiuser detection technique
2003 IEEE International Conference on Acoustics, Speech, and Signal Processing, 2003. Proceedings. (ICASSP '03)., 2004Bayesian detection for asynchronous DS-CDMA systems with unknown interference and multipath fading is studied. A novel nonlinear group-blind multiuser detector is proposed, in which a Gibbs sampler is employed to perform the Bayesian multiuser detection according to the linear group-blind decorrelator output.

Blind multiuser detection for MC-CDMA with antenna array
Computers & Electrical Engineering, 2010We investigate the characteristics of the received signal as trilinear model for multi-carrier code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) system with antenna array, and propose a blind multiuser detection method for MC-CDMA system in this paper. The trilinear-based multiuser detection algorithm (Trilinear-MUDE) that we presented exploits the versatile ...

Learning algorithms for blind multiuser detection in CDMA downlink
Ninth IEEE International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications (Cat. No.98TH8361), 2002CDMA (code division multiple access) is a multiple access technique based on spread spectrum methods. In a downlink signal processing, only the code of the mobile phone user is known, while the codes of the interfering users are unknown. Blind source separation or multiuser detection is an approach offering the solution to this problem.

Blind Multiuser Detection Over Highly Dispersive CDMA Channels
IEEE Transactions on Communications, 2004This paper addresses blind multiuser detection in a direct-sequence code-division multiple-access (DS-CDMA) network in presence of both multiple-access interference and intersymbol interference. In particular, it considers a DS-CDMA system where K out of N users are transmitting; the N admissible spreading codes are known, and so is the code of the ...
