NcPred for accurate nuclear protein prediction using n-mer statistics with various classification algorithms [PDF]
Prediction of nuclear proteins is one of the major challenges in genome annotation. A method, NcPred is described, for predicting nuclear proteins with higher accuracy exploiting n-mer statistics with different classification algorithms namely ...

MP3: a software tool for the prediction of pathogenic proteins in genomic and metagenomic data.
The identification of virulent proteins in any de-novo sequenced genome is useful in estimating its pathogenic ability and understanding the mechanism of pathogenesis.

ADDH And Methylphenidate Response
The dose-response, clinical effectiveness, and response prediction in 76 children with ADDH treated with methylphenidate (MPH) were evaluated by a double-blind, placebo-controlled, crossover study at the Department of Psychology, University of Hawaii ...

Blind Quality Prediction for View Synthesis Based on Heterogeneous Distortion Perception
The quality of synthesized images directly affects the practical application of virtual view synthesis technology, which typically uses a depth-image-based rendering (DIBR) algorithm to generate a new viewpoint based on texture and depth images.

Embryo‐like structures (stembryos) are an innovative tool, but they are hindered by experimental variability and limited developmental potential. DNA methylation is crucial for mammalian development, but its status in stembryo models is poorly characterized.

A New Technique of Removing Blind Spots to Optimize Wireless Coverage in Indoor Area
Blind spots (or bad sampling points) in indoor areas are the positions where no signal exists (or the signal is too weak) and the existence of a receiver within the blind spot decelerates the performance of the communication system.

Compressive Estimation of a Stochastic Process with Unknown Autocorrelation Function
In this paper, we study the prediction of a circularly symmetric zero-mean stationary Gaussian process from a window of observations consisting of finitely many samples.

Nanosecond infrared laser (NIRL) low‐volume sampling combined with shotgun lipidomics uncovers distinct lipidome alterations in oropharyngeal squamous cell carcinoma (OPSCC) of the palatine tonsil. Several lipid species consistently differentiate tumor from healthy tissue, highlighting their potential as diagnostic markers.

This work identified serum proteins associated with pancreatic epithelial neoplasms (PanINs) and early‐stage PDAC. Proteomics screens assessed genetically engineered mice with abundant PanINs, KPC mice (Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐KrasG12D/+ Lox‐STOP‐Lox‐Trp53R172H/+ Pdx1‐Cre) before PDAC development and also early‐stage PDAC patients (n = 31), compared to benign ...

Adaptive Individualized Modeling From Limited Clinical Data for Precise Anemia Management
It is challenging in practice to achieve a steady-state value for external human recombinant erythropoietin (EPO) dosage to be administrated to maintain Hemoglobin (Hb) level within the desired range of 11–12 g/dl based on population-based models ...
