Gain-Phase Errors Calibration for a Linear Array Based on Blind Signal Separation. [PDF]

open access: yesSensors (Basel), 2020
In this paper, a non-iterative blind calibration algorithm for gain-phase errors is proposed. A mixing matrix is first obtained from the received observation data through blind signal separation.

Detection of Partial Discharge Sources Using UHF Sensors and Blind Signal Separation. [PDF]

open access: yesSensors (Basel), 2017
The measurement of the emitted electromagnetic energy in the UHF region of the spectrum allows the detection of partial discharges and, thus, the on-line monitoring of the condition of the insulation of electrical equipment.

Analytical method for blind binary signal separation

open access: greenProceedings of 13th International Conference on Digital Signal Processing, 1997
The blind separation of multiple co-channel binary digital signals using an antenna array involves finding a factorization of a data matrix X into X=AS, where all entries of S are +1 or -1. It is shown that this problem can be solved exactly and non-iteratively, via a certain generalized eigenvalue decomposition.

On a Real-Time Blind Signal Separation Noise Reduction System

open access: yesInternational Journal of Reconfigurable Computing, 2018
Blind signal separation has been studied extensively in order to tackle the cocktail party problem. It explores spatial diversity of the received mixtures of sources by different sensors. By using the kurtosis measure, it is possible to select the source

An Anti-Mainlobe Suppression Jamming Method Based on Improved Blind Source Separation Using Variational Mode Decomposition and Wavelet Packet Decomposition [PDF]

open access: yesSensors
Mainlobe suppression jamming significantly degrades radar detection performance. The conventional blind source separation (BSS) algorithms often fail under high-jamming-to-signal-ratio (JSR) and low-signal-to-noise-ratio (SNR) conditions.

Graph Signal Processing Meets Blind Source Separation [PDF]

open access: yesIEEE Transactions on Signal Processing, 2021
In graph signal processing (GSP), prior information on the dependencies in the signal is collected in a graph which is then used when processing or analyzing the signal. Blind source separation (BSS) techniques have been developed and analyzed in different domains, but for graph signals the research on BSS is still in its infancy.

Single-Channel Blind Source Separation of Spatial Aliasing Signal Based on Stacked-LSTM

open access: yesSensors, 2021
Aiming at the problem of insufficient separation accuracy of aliased signals in space Internet satellite-ground communication scenarios, a stacked long short-term memory network (Stacked-LSTM) separation method based on deep learning is proposed.

Blind Signal Separation Methods for InSAR: The Potential to Automatically Detect and Monitor Signals of Volcanic Deformation

open access: bronzeJournal of Geophysical Research: Solid Earth, 2018
There are some 1,500 volcanoes with the potential to erupt, but most are not instrumentally monitored. However, routine acquisition by the Sentinel‐1 satellites now fulfils the requirements needed for interferometric synthetic aperture radar (InSAR) to ...

Blind signal separation: statistical principles

open access: yesProceedings of the IEEE, 1998
Blind signal separation (BSS) and independent component analysis (ICA) are emerging techniques of array processing and data analysis that aim to recover unobserved signals or "sources" from observed mixtures (typically, the output of an array of sensors), exploiting only the assumption of mutual independence between the signals.
