Single-Channel Blind Image Separation Based on Transformer-Guided GAN

open access: yesSensors, 2023
Blind source separation (BSS) has been a great challenge in the field of signal processing due to the unknown distribution of the source signal and the mixing matrix.

Combining antibody conjugates with cytotoxic and immune‐stimulating payloads maximizes anti‐cancer activity

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Methods to improve antibody–drug conjugate (ADC) treatment durability in cancer therapy are needed. We utilized ADCs and immune‐stimulating antibody conjugates (ISACs), which are made from two non‐competitive antibodies, to enhance the entry of toxic payloads into cancer cells and deliver immunostimulatory agents into immune cells.

On a Real-Time Blind Signal Separation Noise Reduction System

open access: yesInternational Journal of Reconfigurable Computing, 2018
Blind signal separation has been studied extensively in order to tackle the cocktail party problem. It explores spatial diversity of the received mixtures of sources by different sensors. By using the kurtosis measure, it is possible to select the source

Basroparib inhibits YAP‐driven cancers by stabilizing angiomotin

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Basroparib, a selective tankyrase inhibitor, suppresses Wnt signaling and attenuates YAP‐driven oncogenic programs by stabilizing angiomotin. It promotes AMOT–YAP complex formation, enforces cytoplasmic YAP sequestration, inhibits YAP/TEAD transcription, and sensitizes YAP‐active cancers, including KRAS‐mutant colorectal cancer, to MEK inhibition.

Diabetes‐induced vascular calcification is associated with low pyrophosphate and its oral supplementation prevents calcification in diabetic mice

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Induction of diabetes in three different mouse strains uniformly resulted in an increase in TNAP activity and a reduction in pyrophosphate (PPi) in the circulation. Inhibition of TNAP restored plasma PPi. Diabetes‐induced calcification in the media layer of the aorta was detected only in the Abcc6−/− strain, which is predisposed to ectopic ...

A MLE-based blind signal separation method for time–frequency overlapped signal using neural network

open access: yesEURASIP Journal on Advances in Signal Processing, 2022
The blind signal separation (BSS) algorithm obtains each original/source signal from the observed signal collected by the receiving antenna or sensor. Objective/loss/cost function and optimization method are two key parts of BSS algorithm.

Sparse and Non-Negative BSS for Noisy Data

open access: yes, 2013
Non-negative blind source separation (BSS) has raised interest in various fields of research, as testified by the wide literature on the topic of non-negative matrix factorization (NMF). In this context, it is fundamental that the sources to be estimated

Metformin promotes mitochondrial integrity through AMPK‐signaling in Leber's hereditary optic neuropathy

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
Metformin mediates mitochondrial quality control in Leber's hereditary optic neuropathy (LHON) fibroblasts carrying mtDNA mutations. At therapeutic levels, metformin activates AMPK signaling to restore mitochondrial dynamics by promoting fusion and restraining fission, while preserving mitochondrial mass, enhancing autophagy/mitophagy and biogenesis ...

Study on weak sound signal separation and pattern recognition under strong background noise in marine engineering

open access: yesJournal of Low Frequency Noise, Vibration and Active Control
The extraction of weak acoustic signals under strong background noise is of great significance in the applications of target identification and localization.

A Blind Source Separation Method Based on Bounded Component Analysis Optimized by the Improved Beetle Antennae Search

open access: yesSensors, 2023
Currently, the widely used blind source separation algorithm is typically associated with issues such as a sluggish rate of convergence and unstable accuracy, and it is mostly suitable for the separation of independent source signals.
