A Hybrid System for Driver Assistance Using Computer Vision Methods
Driver fatigue and drowsiness are the causes of many road accidents. In this work, a low-cost hybrid system is proposed for determining driver fatigue level based on four metrics: last sleep quality, blinking rate, heart rate variation, and yawning.

Objective The study aimed to identify symptom‐based predictors of dry eye disease (DED) signs in the Sjögren's International Collaborative Clinical Alliance (SICCA) cohort. Methods We performed a retrospective analysis examining 16 ocular symptoms (most graded 0–4) and artificial tear (AT) use (graded 0–3) as predictors of DED signs (abnormal ocular ...

Gellan gum fluid gel (FG) enables controlled ocular delivery of mesenchymal stromal cell (MSC)‐derived extracellular vesicles (EV). Its shear‐thinning, solid‐liquid‐solid rheology ensures prolonged ocular retention. Sustained MSC‐EV release (∼18% in 6 hrs) supports effective EV ocular delivery.

Nocturnal Intraocular Pressure Monitoring With a Soft Contact Lens Sensor for Glaucoma Management
A soft contact lens sensor enables continuous, noninvasive monitoring of nocturnal intraocular pressure (IOP) under closed‐eye sleep conditions. By integrating a highly compliant inductive–capacitive circuit onto a commercial lens, the device achieves record sensitivity and stable performance.

Classes of stochastically switched (blinking) systems [PDF]
It is investigated to what extent the trajectories of a stochastically switched (blinking) system follow the corresponding trajectories of the averaged system.

Don’t Blink at the Wrong Time: Smart Glasses Inducing Timely Blinks
Blinking is essential for eye health, but its frequency decreases during concentration-intensive tasks, such as using Visual Display Terminals (VDTs) or playing musical instruments, potentially leading to dry eye syndrome.
