Nanosized spherical and porous films based on poly(acrylic acid)-b-poly(N-phenylmaleimide) and poly(hydroxypropyl metacrylate)-b-poly(N-phenylmaleimide): Optical, thermal and morphological properties

open access: yesCogent Engineering, 2020
In the present work, we have investigated the effect of the chemical structure, concentration and solvent on the morphological properties of diblock copolymers at a certain percentage of humidity.

Imide/arylene ether copolymers with pendent trifluoromethyl groups [PDF]

open access: yes
A series of imide/arylene ether block copolymers were prepared using an arylene ether block containing a hexafluoroisopropylidene group and an imide block containing a hexafluoroisopropylidene and a trifluoromethyl group in the polymer backbone.

Design and Synthesis of Peptide‐Polyester Conjugates for Cell‐Mediated Scaffold Degradation

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This work describes polycaprolactone (PCL)‐based biomaterials engineered to degrade in response to cell‐secreted proteases. A fast‐degrading peptide (Fast) sequence is integrated into a PCL conjugate backbone to produce a biomaterial that is selectively degraded by multiple cell types compared to its scrambled control (ScrFast).

In-vitro cytotoxic activities of poly(2-ethyl-2-oxazoline)-based amphiphilic block copolymers prepared by CuAAC click chemistry

open access: yeseXPRESS Polymer Letters, 2018
Synthesis and characterization of well-defined amphiphilic block copolymers containing poly(2-ethyl-2-oxazoline) as hydrophilic block and poly(ε-caprolactone) or poly(L-lactide) as hydrophobic block is achieved by copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne ...

Copolymers of Poly(Butylene Trans‐1,4‐Cyclohexanedicarboxylate)/Pripol as New Biomaterial Platform for Small Diameter Vascular Graft

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Electrospun tubular scaffolds from novel PBCE‐based copolyesters and blends were designed as candidates for small‐diameter vascular grafts. They combine defect‐free architecture, blood‐compatible surfaces, and mechanical properties comparable to native vessels.

Orienting Ion-Containing Block Copolymers Using AC Electric Field

open access: yes, 2003
We consider orientation mechanisms for block copolymers in an electric field. Theoretical and experimental studies have shown that nonuniformity of the dielectric constant gives rise to a preferred orientation of the melt with respect to the applied ...

Melt Electrowriting High Resolution Poly(ethylene‐co‐vinyl acetate) Scaffolds for Soft Tissue Engineering

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
This work pioneers melt electrowriting (MEW) of polyethylene vinyl acetate (PEVA) to fabricate ultra‐compliant, high‐resolution scaffolds. By integrating microscale precision with soft tissue‐like biomechanics, PEVA overcomes stiffness‐driven limitations of conventional MEW polymers, establishing a mechanically biomimetic platform for soft tissue ...

Aptamer‐Based Delivery Systems for VEGF and NGF Modulation in Ocular Therapies

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
Aptamer‐based delivery systems targeting NGF and VEGF hold significant potential for precise and sustained treatment of complex diseases affecting both the anterior and posterior segments of the eye. This review critically summarizes current strategies for NGF and VEGF delivery as well as VEGF sequestration, providing a clinical perspective on how ...
