Performance of Turbo Interference Cancellation Receivers in Space-Time Block Coded DS-CDMA Systems [PDF]
We investigate the performance of turbo interference cancellation receivers in the space time block coded (STBC) direct-sequence code division multiple access (DS-CDMA) system.

Block turbo codes: towards implementation [PDF]
This paper presents two implementations of the same block turbo decoding algorithm: on the one hand an elementary decoder in association with a sequencer performs the complete turbo decoding process, and on the other hand, the circuit contains one elementary decoder per half-iteration.

System Performance of Concatenated STBC and Block Turbo Codes in Dispersive Fading Channels
A new scheme of concatenating the block turbo code (BTC) with the space-time block code (STBC) for an OFDM system in dispersive fading channels is investigated in this paper.

Low-Complexity Decoding of Block Turbo-Coded System with Antenna Diversity [PDF]
The goal of this paper is to reduce the decoding complexity of space-time block turbo-coded system with low performance degradation. Two block turbo-coded systems with antenna diversity are considered.

Turbo Codes Performance Optimization over Block Fading Channels
In this paper, the best achievable performance of a turbo coded system on a block fading channel is obtained, assuming binary antipodal modulation. A rate 1/3 turbo code is considered, obtained by concatenating, through a random interleaver, an 8-states rate 1/2 and a rate 1 convolutional codes (CC).

Near-Hashing-Bound Multiple-Rate Quantum Turbo Short-Block Codes [PDF]
Quantum stabilizer codes (QSCs) suffer from a low quantum coding rate since they have to recover the quantum bits (qubits) in the face of both bit-flip and phase-flip errors. In this treatise, we conceive a low-complexity concatenated quantum turbo code (

This paper proposes an iteration stopping criterion for turbo decoding with Benedetto's decoding algorithm based on a posteriori probabilities. This stopping criterion is used in two schemes.

Combined Distributed Turbo Coding and Space Frequency Block Coding Techniques [PDF]
The distributed space-time (frequency) coding and distributed channel turbo coding used independently represent two cooperative techniques that can provide increased throughput and spectral efficiency at an imposed maximum Bit Error Rate (BER) and delay required from the new generation of cellular networks.

Source-controlled block turbo coding
This thesis proposes the use of block turbo codes for transmitting nonuniform binary memoryless sources over AWGN channels. As opposed to standard convolutional turbo codes, block turbo codes are known to achieve good performance for high code rates, up to 98% of the channel capacity for uniform sources.
