The role of gender suffixes in number suppletion
A well-known empirical generalization is that suppletion is sensitive to the presence of intervening morphemes: for suppletion to take place, the trigger and the target must be adjacent.

Block-relaxation Algorithms in Statistics [PDF]
Many algorithms in recent computational statistics are variations on a common theme. In this paper we discuss four such classes of algorithms. Or, more precisely, we discuss a single class of algorithms, and we show how some well-known classes of statistical algorithms fit in this common class.

Predicting Atomic Charges in MOFs by Topological Charge Equilibration
An atomic charge prediction method is presented that is able to accurately reproduce ab‐initio‐derived reference charges for a large number of metal–organic frameworks. Based on a topological charge equilibration scheme, static charges that fulfill overall neutrality are quickly generated.

Parallel Factorizations with Algorithmic Blocking [PDF]
Matrix factorization algorithms such as LU, QR, and Cholesky, are the most widely used methods for solving dense linear systems of equations, and have been extensively studied and implemented on vector and parallel computers. In this paper, we present parallel LU, QR, and Cholesky factorization routines with an "algorithmic blocking" on 2-dimensional ...

Conductance‐Dependent Photoresponse in a Dynamic SrTiO3 Memristor for Biorealistic Computing
A nanoscale SrTiO3 memristor is shown to exhibit dynamic synaptic behavior through the interaction of local electrical and global optical signals. Its photoresponse depends quantitatively on the conductance state, which evolves and decays over tunable timescales, enabling ultralow‐power, biorealistic learning mechanisms for advanced in‐memory and ...

Improved A* Algorithm-Based Optimal Path Planning of Rescue Robots Within Multi-Environment Maps
The traditional A* algorithm performs well in single-map environments, but it is prone to path redundancy and obstacle handling delays in complex multi-map collaborative scenarios, making it unsuitable for the characteristics of multi-environment maps ...
