Blocking probabilities in mobile communications networks with time-varying rates and redialing subscribers [PDF]
Call-blocking probabilities are among the key performance measures in mobile communications networks. For the analysis of these blocking probabilities, mobile networks can be modelled as networks of Erlang loss queues with common capacity restrictions ...

On the tradeoff between blocking and dropping probabilities in CDMA networks supporting elastic services [PDF]
This paper is a sequel of previous work, in which we proposed a model and computational technique to calculate the Erlang capacity of a single CDMA cell that supports elastic services.

Additive Gaussian Process Regression for Predictive Design of High‐Performance, Printable Silicones
A chemistry‐aware design framework for tuning printable polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) for vat photopolymerization (VPP) is developed using additive Gaussian process (GP) modeling. Polymer network mechanics informs variable groupings, feasible formulation constraints, and interaction variables.

Bounding the blocking probabilities in multirate CDMA networks supporting elastic services
Several previous contributions have proposed calculation methods that can be used to determine the steady state (and from it the blocking probabilities) of code-division multiple-access (CDMA) systems.

The recent rapid expansion of cloud computing has led to the prominence of Cloud Data Center (CDC) emerging. However, user requests’ waiting time might be greatly increased for a single physical machine (PM) in the CDC.

Time‐Dependent Oxidation and Scale Evolution of a Wrought Co/Ni‐Based Superalloy
This study shows how a new wrought Co/Ni‐based superalloy resists oxidation at 800 ∘$^\circ$C. The oxide scale changes from rough, fast‐growing spinel to a dense, protective chromia–alumina layer. Atom probe analysis reveals tiny refractory‐rich bubbles at the interface that mark the transition to long‐term, diffusion‐controlled protection ...

A Computational Model for Estimating Blocking
In this letter, we propose a computational model for calculating blocking probabilities of multifiber wavelength division multiplexing (WDM) optical networks.

In this paper we consider a multiservice network link accepting both multicast and unicast connections. We model the link as a multi-stream loss system and study an approximate method for computing blocking probabilities for traffic streams. A case study

Multimodal Data‐Driven Microstructure Characterization
A self‐consistent autonomous workflow for EBSP‐based microstructure segmentation by integrating PCA, GMM clustering, and cNMF with information‐theoretic parameter selection, requiring no user input. An optimal ROI size related to characteristic grain size is identified.

Influence of Test Temperature and Test Frequency on Fatigue Life of Aluminum Alloy EN AW‐2618A
The influence of test temperature and test frequency on the fatigue life of EN AW‐2618A is investigated. High‐cycle fatigue tests are performed at different test temperatures and frequencies on the 1000 h/230°C overaged state. Both test parameters reduce fatigue life due to time‐dependent damage mechanisms.
