Blocking probability for priority classes in optical burst switching networks

open access: yes, 2002
This letter proposes a method to strictly prioritize switching access in just-enough-time (JET)-based optical burst switching networks. A queueing model is developed by which the blocking probability for each traffic class can be analytically evaluated ...

Blood Biomarkers and Surface‐Enhanced Raman Spectroscopy for Gout: A Comprehensive Review

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Schematic illustrating gout disease progression from asymptomatic hyperuricemia to chronic tophaceous disease, highlighting the limitations of conventional imaging and biochemical diagnostics and the potential of engineered SERS platforms for ultrasensitive blood‐based detection of urate‐related biomarkers across disease stages, with the color gradient

Statistical analysis of blocking probability and fragmentation based on Markov modeling of elastic spectrum allocation on fiber link

open access: yes, 2015
In Elastic Optical Network (EON), spectrum fragmentation refers to the existence of non-aligned, small-sized blocks of free subcarrier slots in the optical spectrum.

Blocking Probability of f -Cast Optical Banyan Networks on Vertical Stacking [PDF]

open access: yes, 2020
-Vertical stacking of banyan networks has been an attractive architecture to construct optical switching networks due to its small depth, absolute signal loss uniformity and good fault tolerance property.

Enhancement of Dielectric Breakdown Strength and Recoverable Energy Density in Three‐Dimensional Heterointerfaces on BaTiO3–PbZrO3–PbTiO3 Films via Room‐Temperature Nano‐Clustering

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
A room‐temperature aerosol deposition process yields multiphase nano‐clustered dielectric capacitors containing discrete BaTiO3, PbZrO3, and PbTiO3 crystals. This architecture creates three‐dimensional heterointerfaces that induce interfacial charge trapping and effectively inhibit breakdown propagation.

Simplifying Blocking Probability Estimations for Heterogeneous Voice Sources in VoIP Environments [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
[[abstract]]A fast estimation of blocking probability for heterogeneous voice source in VoIP environments is proposed in this paper. In VoIP environments, traffics are generated from various voice sources and the transient system states due to the input ...

Toward Fast Proton Shuttling in Acidic Oxygen Evolution Reaction

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This review establishes proton transfer dynamics as a descriptor governing acidic OER activity, moving beyond the kinetic constraints derived from the proton coupled electron transfer. We discuss how deprotonation governs classical mechanisms, including adsorbate evolution mechanism (AEM), lattice oxygen mechanism (LOM) and oxide path mechanism (OPM ...
