Statistical thermodynamics of block copolymers: Network statistics

Journal of Macromolecular Science, Part B, 1980
Abstract The swelling behavior of a lamellar domain system of an ABA block copolymer is treated, with account taken of the relative population of the B chains as “loops” and “bridges.” The swelling behavior is not a sensitive function of these configurations, since both types in condensed systems are elastically effective, in contrast to the behavior ...

Statistical analysis on KATAN Block Cipher

2011 International Conference on Research and Innovation in Information Systems, 2011
In this research, we present the analysis on Lightweight Block Cipher; KATAN. This block cipher consists of three algorithms with block sizes of 32/48/64-bit and utilizes an 80-bit key. NIST Statistical Test Suite is used to determine the randomness of output sequence produced by all algorithms.

Statistical thermodynamics of ABA block copolymers. II

Journal of Polymer Science: Polymer Physics Edition, 1970
AbstractA microstructural model for the phase‐separated states of ABA triblock copolymers is proposed. It postulates the simultaneous existence of three phases: pure A, pure B, and a mixed region. Incorporation of the mixed region distinguishes this treatment from all other theories and is responsible for considerable flexibility in the model without ...

Spectral Statistics of Acoustic Resonances in Aluminum Blocks

Physical Review Letters, 1995
We measure several hundred acoustic resonances in aluminum blocks. The statistical properties of these spectra are analyzed and compared to predictions from random matrix theory. A Poisson behavior is found for a rectangular block. The transition from Poisson to Gaussian orthogonal ensemble statistics is studied by measuring aluminum blocks ...

High Statistics Block Entropy Measures of DNA Sequences

Journal of Theoretical Biology, 1996
We have used an improved block-entropy measure in order to gain some further insights into the short-range correlations present in whole chromosomes of S. cerevisiae, viruses and organelles and very large genomic regions of E. coli. Although DNA sequences are largely inhomogeneous and word frequencies are unevenly distributed, the comparison of entire ...

Distribution-Free Pattern Verification Using Statistically Equivalent Blocks

IEEE Transactions on Computers, 1972
A nonparametric classification procedure based on distribution-free tolerance regions is presented. Without knlowledge of the class probability distributions, the procedure gives information about the expected performance of the classifier through use of only one sample of statistically independent observations from each class.

Statistical Analysis on LBlock Block Cipher

2014
In this research paper, we present the statistical analysis on full round lightweight block cipher; LBlock. This block cipher has a fixed block size of 64-bit, utilizes an 80-bit key and executes in 32 rounds. To determine the randomness of ciphertext produced by this algorithm, NIST Statistical Test Suite is used.

Asymptotic Properties of the Block-Type Statistics

2022
Extreme value theory is an issue extensively applied in many different fields. One of the central points of this theory is the estimation of a positive extreme value index. In this paper we introduce a new family of block type statistics related to this estimation. A weak consistency of the introduced statistics is proved.

Multi-Block Gray Statistics Local Dimming Algorithm

Applied Mechanics and Materials, 2013
Multi-block gray statistics local dimming algorithm is proposed to automatically control the brightness of the backlight for reducing energy consumption and enhancing the image quality. The large blocks are used to determine the value of backlight matrix and small blocks are to determine the image block brightness.
