Chemical Isotope Labeling LC-MS for Human Blood Metabolome Analysis

2018
Blood is a widely used biofluid in discovery metabolomic research to search for clinical metabolite biomarkers of diseases. Analyzing the entire human blood metabolome is a major analytical challenge, as blood, after being processed into serum or plasma, contains thousands of metabolites with diverse chemical and physical properties as well as a wide ...

Comparative Analysis of Blood Chemical Values in Primary Ketosis and Abomasal Displacement in Cows

Journal of Veterinary Medicine Series A, 1998
SummaryBlood chemical values, including ketone bodies, were measured in 25 cows with abomasal displacement (displacement group), 16 cows with primary ketosis (ketosis group), and nine normal controls to investigate the pathophysiology of abomasal displacement. Increases in aspartate aminotransferase, γ‐glutamyl transpeptidase, non‐esterified fatty acid

Rapid and quantitative blood amino acid analysis by chemical ionization mass spectrometry

Biological Mass Spectrometry, 1977
A quantitative analysis of amino acids in microsamples of dried blood spots by chemical ionization mass spectrometry has been developed. Isotope ratio determination was used as the quantitating technique via multiple labelled internal standards. This procedure yields excellent precision and accuracy as demonstrated by the analysis of known amino acid ...

CHEMICAL ANALYSIS OF A SALIVARY GLYCOPROTEIN WITH BLOOD‐GROUP SUBSTANCE‐AND VIRUS INHIBITION ACTIVITIES

Acta Pathologica Microbiologica Scandinavica Section B Microbiology and Immunology, 1971
A human salivary glycoprotein which exhibits blood‐group substance activity in the ABO and Lewis systems, and which also inhibits the haemagglutinins of influenza virus (Rølla &Jonsen 1968) has been analysed. Glycoprotein preparations from a non‐secretor (O, Le a+b‐) and from a secretor (O, Le a‐b+) showed very similar amino acid composition ...

A study of traceability and application of ISO rule for QC of blood chemical analysis

Proceedings of the 41st SICE Annual Conference. SICE 2002., 2003
The introduction of ISO and JIS rules was tested on the standard measurement system. The quality control (QC) of blood chemical analysis is based on the WHO rule and the QC is treated by a statistical analysis method. However, the measured data have many uncertainties, so the QC according to ISO-GUM is discussed.
