Neonatal hyperbilirubinemia due to ABO incompatibility: does blood group matter?

Newborn infants with maternal-fetal ABO incompatibility are at a greater risk for developing subsequent significant hyperbilirubinemia, and therefore, prediction of probable risk factors, such as the degree of hemolysis, gains importance.
