Ambulatory blood pressure monitoring [PDF]

open access: yesOrvosi Hetilap, 2010
Az elmúlt évtizedek során a 24 órás ambuláns vérnyomás-monitorozás alkalmazása fontos része lett a hypertonia diagnosztikájának és a terápiás döntések irányításának. Míg korábban a klinikumban elsősorban a fehérköpeny-hypertoniások meghatározására használták az ambuláns vérnyomás-monitorozást, egyre több bizonyíték áll rendelkezésre arról is, hogy a ...

The newfound relationship between extrachromosomal DNAs and excised signal circles

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Extrachromosomal DNAs (ecDNAs) contribute to the progression of many human cancers. In addition, circular DNA by‐products of V(D)J recombination, excised signal circles (ESCs), have roles in cancer progression but have largely been overlooked. In this Review, we explore the roles of ecDNAs and ESCs in cancer development, and highlight why these ...

Comparison between an adapted protocol for home and ambulatory measurement for evaluating night-time blood pressure behaviour

open access: yesBlood Pressure
Background The diagnosis and treatment of hypertension rely on the accuracy of blood pressure (BP) measurements obtained both in and out of the office during awake and sleep periods. Objective To evaluate whether a home blood pressure monitoring (HBPM ...

Transferrin receptor 1‐mediated iron uptake supports thermogenic activation in human cervical‐derived adipocytes

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
In this study, we found that human cervical‐derived adipocytes maintain intracellular iron level by regulating the expression of iron transport‐related proteins during adrenergic stimulation. Melanotransferrin is predicted to interact with transferrin receptor 1 based on in silico analysis.

Ambulatory Blood Pressure Monitoring

open access: yesClinical and Experimental Hypertension, 1999
This paper will briefly summarize the available evidence on the diagnostic and prognostic relevance of a number of parameters derived from the analysis of 24 hour ambulatory blood pressure recordings. These parameters include the 24 h average blood pressure values, the difference between daytime and nighttime blood pressure, the difference between ...

Nighttime Blood Pressure Measured by Home Blood Pressure Monitoring as an Independent Predictor of Cardiovascular Events in General Practice

open access: yesHYPERTENSION, 2019
We developed an innovative automated home blood pressure (BP) monitoring method that measures BP while asleep repeatedly over several days. Our aim was to assess the predictive ability of nighttime BP obtained using the home BP device for incident ...
