Genetic diversity of cattle in south China as revealed by blood protein electrophoresis.

Biochemical genetics, 1999
Genetic variation of 31 blood protein loci in 236 cattle from eight South China populations (including mithan, Bos frontalis) and a Holstein population was investigated by means of horizontal starch gel electrophoresis. Thirteen loci (ALB, CAR, Hb-b, Np, PGM, Amy-I, PEP-B, AKP, 6PGD, Cp, Pa, EsD, and TF) were found to be polymorphic.

Quantitative Analysis of MicroRNA in Blood Serum with Protein-Facilitated Affinity Capillary Electrophoresis

Analytical Chemistry, 2011
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small (∼22 nt) regulatory RNAs that are frequently deregulated in cancer and have shown promise as tissue- and blood-based biomarkers for cancer classification and prognostication. Here we present a protein-facilitated affinity capillary electrophoresis (ProFACE) assay for rapid quantification of miRNA levels in blood serum using

Reference values for hematology and plasma biochemistry variables, and protein electrophoresis of healthy Hermann's tortoises (Testudo hermanni ssp.).

Veterinary clinical pathology, 2014
BACKGROUND Hermann's tortoise, Testudo hermanni, is currently on the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) red list of endangered species. Reptile medicine relies also on laboratory analyses to evaluate health status, but reference ranges

Two‐dimensional electrophoresis for the study of blood/serum proteins of the otter, an endangered species

ELECTROPHORESIS, 1995
AbstractStudies on serum/blood samples from European otters (Lutra lutra), a species under protection in most countries, were undertaken. Building of a two‐dimensional electrophoresis (2‐DE) protein identification map was started, identifying serum proteins by pattern comparison with cat or human serum protein maps and by immunoblotting using cross ...

Acrylamide Gel Electrophoresis of Blood Protein During the Moulting and the Metamorphosis in the Silkworm, Bombyx mori L.

, 1965
It is well known by means of paper electrophoresis that blood protein of the silkworm consists of three kinds of component, even though pattern of the blood proteins differs from the developing stage of the silkworm (AIZAWA, 1955 ; KOBAYASHI and KOMATSU,

Blood protein polymorphism in the one-humped camel (Camelus dromedarius) in the Sudan.

Animal Blood Groups and Biochemical Genetics, 2009
The blood protein polymorphism of serum albumin, haptoglobin, transferrin, ceruloplasmin and haemoglobin have been studied in 135 samples from one-humped Arabian camel (Camelus dromedarius) of the Sudan by starch gel electrophoresis.
