[Urologic complications after implantation of aortofemoral blood vessel prosthesis].

Der Urologe. Ausg. A, 1997
After implantation of aorto-femoral grafts, primary ureteral lesions and secondary ureteral obstructions are the most important urological complications. Surgical repair carried out as quickly as possible, including reanastomosis without tension and covering with a peritoneal patch or omentum interposition, seems the best means of preventing secondary ...

[Injury of the inguinal blood vessels in implantation of hip joint prosthesis].

Der Unfallchirurg, 1992
Vascular injuries during or after total hip replacements have often been reported. In 2257 artificial hip joint replacements, we observed 8 cases of vascular injuries requiring reconstruction (3 cases), suturing (2 cases), end-to-end anastomosis (1 case), or ligature (2 cases) performed by a vascular surgeon.

New Method of Hydrophobization of Polyethylene Terephthalate Fabric for Blood Vessel Prosthesis

INEOS OPEN
The radical block copolymerization of 2,2,3,3,4,4,4-heptafluorobutyl acrylate (HFBA) with methyl methacrylate (MMA) at 65 °C under normal atmospheric conditions on the surface of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) tissue (Dacron), used for the production of vascular prostheses, was carried out. It was found that the copolymerization of HFBA and MMA in 10:

Can a small blood vessel prosthesis be derived from heterologous foreign body reactive tissue?

Journal of Biomedical Materials Research, 1979
AbstractThis study investigated as a small diameter vascular replacement the tissue formed adjacent to an implanted cylindrical foreign body, heterologously transplanted. Grafts of 4 mm i.d. were grown in rabbits and transplanted to dogs as segmental carotid and femoral artery replacements. These maintained 50% patency after 3 weeks.

[Morphology of abdominal aortic aneurysms with reference to endovascular blood vessel prosthesis].

Swiss surgery = Schweizer Chirurgie = Chirurgie suisse = Chirurgia svizzera, 1996
The purpose of this report was to describe the frequency and morphology of infrarenal aortic aneurysms suitable for endovascular tube graft repair. Preoperative abdominal CT scans of 89 patients undergoing open tube graft repair were analyzed retrospectively by measurements of lengths and diameters of the aneurysms.
