A Cache Architecture for Counting Bloom Filters: Theory and Application
Within packet processing systems, lengthy memory accesses greatly reduce performance. To overcome this limitation, network processors utilize many different techniques, for example, utilizing multilevel memory hierarchies, special hardware architectures,

Comparing Set Reconciliation Methods Based on Bloom Filters and Their Variants
Set reconciliation between two nodes is widely used in network applications. The basic idea is that each member of a node pair has an object set and seeks to deliver its unique objects to the other member. The Standard Bloom Filter (SBF) and its variants,

Multi‐Scale Bionic Structure Constructs Biomass Flame‐Retardant Thermal Insulation Foam Material
Inspired by mussel adhesion and hierarchical brick‐and‐mortar architectures, a cellulose‐based biomimetic foam is constructed by anchoring bentonite nanosheets onto a polydopamine‐decorated cellulose nanofiber network. The resulting foam combines low thermal conductivity with intrinsic flame retardancy and full biodegradability, presenting a ...

Hardened Bloom Filters, with an Application to Unobservability [PDF]
peer reviewedClassical Bloom filters may be used to elegantly check if an element e belongs to a set S, and, if not, to add e to S. They do not store any data and only provide boolean answers regarding the membership of a given element in the set, with ...

This study reveals that long non‐coding RNAs represent important regulatory components underlying pear domestication and improvement. Integrative multi‐omics analyses identify selected lncRNAs associated with fruit traits, while functional validation uncovers a lignin‐related lncRNA, lncRNA‐pys, that promotes lignin accumulation.
