Blow-Up of Solutions of Some Nonlinear Hyperbolic Systems
The paper deals with initial value problems for two types of systems of two semilinear wave equations \(u_{tt}=\Delta u+|v|^p, v_{tt}=\Delta v+|u|^q,\) and \(u_{tt}=\Delta u+|v_t|^p, v_{tt}=\Delta v+|u_t|^q (t>0, x\in \mathbb{R}^n)\) with compactly supported initial data.

This article is concerned with the initial-value problem of a Schrödinger–Hartree equation in the presence of anisotropic partial/whole harmonic confinement. First, we get a sharp threshold for global existence and finite time blow-up on the ground state

Blow up for the critical gKdV equation III: exotic regimes [PDF]
We consider the blow up problem in the energy space for the critical (gKdV) equation in the continuation of part I and part II. We know from part I that the unique and stable blow up rate for solutions close to the solitons with strong decay on the ...

Wave breaking of periodic solutions to the Fornberg-Whitham equation
Based on recent well-posedness results in Sobolev (or Besov spaces) for periodic solutions to the Fornberg-Whitham equations we investigate here the questions of wave breaking and blow-up for these solutions.

Biofabrication aims at providing innovative technologies and tools for the fabrication of tissue‐like constructs for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine applications. By integrating multiple biofabrication technologies, such as 3D (bio) printing with fiber fabrication methods, it would be more realistic to reconstruct native tissue's ...

Remarks on the Blow-Up Solutions for the Critical Gross-Pitaevskii Equation
This paper is concerned with the blow-up solutions of the critical Gross-Pitaevskii equation, which models the Bose-Einstein condensate. The existence and qualitative properties of the minimal blow-up solutions are obtained.

Blow up of solutions to semilinear wave equations
This work shows the absence of global solutions to the equation $$ u_{tt} = Delta u + p^{-k}|u|^m, $$ in the Minkowski space $mathbb{M}_0=mathbb{R}imesmathbb{R}^N$, where $ m > 1$, $(N-1)m < N+1$, and $p $ is a conformal factor approaching 0 at infinity.
