Discovery of An Unusually Blue L Dwarf Within 10 pc of the Sun [PDF]
We report the discovery of an unusually blue L5 dwarf within 10 pc of the Sun from a search of Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) spectra. A spectrophotometric distance estimate of 8.0+/-1.6 pc places SDSS J141624.08+134826.7 among the six closest known L dwarfs.

The influence of oxide nanoparticle synthesis route and concentration on microstructure and high‐temperature performance of additively manufactured oxide dispersion‐strengthened steels is investigated. Comparing laser‐generated and chemically synthesized ZrO2 nanoparticles, the study reveals how dispersion quality, crystal structure and particle size ...

On dwarf elliptical galaxies and the faint blue counts [PDF]
The nature of the faint blue objects seen in deep images of the sky has been a source of great puzzlement. Their high surface density and weak clustering argues against their being either the progenitors or the merging components of the present-day bright galaxies.

Inter‐Layer Diffusion of Excitations in 2D Perovskites Revealed by Photoluminescence Reabsorption
Inter‐layer diffusion of photoexcitations is monitored in thin films of the 2D perovskite (PEA)2PbI4 by tracking time‐dependent changes in photoluminescence spectra induced by photon reabsorption effects. A low out‐of‐plane excitation diffusion coefficient of 0.26 × 10−4 cm2 s−1 is determined through 1D diffusion modeling.

Exciton Dynamics in Layered Halide Perovskite Light‐Emitting Diodes
This review discusses the exciton dynamics in layered halide perovskitelight‐emitting diodes (PeLEDs). It opens with a summary of the structural and photophysical aspects, followed by an exploration of controlling dimensionality and cascade exciton transfer in quasi‐2D PeLEDs.

A Tale of Three Dwarfs: No Extreme Cluster Formation in Extreme Star-forming Galaxies
Nearly all current simulations predict that outcomes of the star formation process, such as the fraction of stars that form in bound clusters (Γ), depend on the intensity of star formation activity (Σ _SFR ) in the host galaxy.

Contribution of primordial binary evolution to the two blue-straggler sequences in globular cluster M30 [PDF]
Two blue-straggler sequences discovered in globular cluster M30 provide a strong constraint on the formation mechanisms of blue stragglers. We study the formation of the blue-straggler binaries through binary evolution, and find that binary evolution can contribute to the blue stragglers in both of the sequences.

UVIT/AstroSat Investigation of a low luminous Blue Straggler Star in NGC 362: Detection of extremely low mass white dwarf as companion [PDF]
In the present study, we identified an extremely low-mass white dwarf as a companion to a low luminous blue straggler star within the Galactic globular cluster NGC 362. To conduct the analysis, we utilized data obtained from various sources, including AstroSat Ultra Violet Imaging Telescope, UVOT, and the 2.2-m ESO telescope.
