In healthy neurons, Protein kinase A (PKA) forms a tetrameric holoenzyme enabling precise allosteric regulation. We characterized a novel neurodegenerative disease, neuronal loss, and parkinsonism driven by PRKAR1B mutation (NLPD‐PKA), demonstrating disrupted holoenzyme assembly, reduced cooperativity, and increased catalytic subunit nuclear ...

Neuronal migration plays essential roles in the establishment of mammalian brains, and its impairment causes severe developmental abnormalities and behavioral and cognitive deficits. Here, we report that cadherin‐6 (CDH6), an unusual cadherin molecule containing an RGD integrin‐binding motif in the first extracellular domain, controls the motility of ...

Extensive dispersal: Great Capricorn beetles dispersed up to 822 m in fragmented oak habitats. Sex‐independent movement: Dispersal distances were not significantly influenced by sex, body size or mating status. Conservation implications: Findings underscore the importance of large, connected habitats for beetle reintroductions.

The membrane attack complex (MAC) is formed by the stepwise assembly of five proteins: C5b, C6, C7, C8 and C9. MAC plays a key role in driving inflammation in numerous diseases. This study compares the inhibitory mechanisms of MAC assembly by soluble CD59 (sCD59), a disulphide‐locked C9 mutant (C9lock) and horse C9 (HoC9).

Cu‐doped magnesium phosphate supraparticles: A promising material for bone tissue regeneration
In this study, we present antibacterial and biodegradable Cu‐doped magnesium phosphate (MgP) supraparticles prepared by spray‐drying, which offer high biocompatibility and enhanced bone regeneration potential. In contrast to conventional calcium phosphate materials, MgP exhibits superior biodegradation, which improves osteointegration.
