Convective blueshift strengths for 242 evolved stars
Context. With the advent of extreme precision radial velocity (RV) surveys, seeking to detect planets at RV semi-amplitudes of 10 cm s−1, intrinsic stellar variability is the biggest challenge to detecting small exoplanets. To overcome the challenge we must first thoroughly understand all facets of stellar variability. Among those, convective blueshift

Unveiling the Unprecedented Optical Properties of Citrate‐Stabilized Hollow AgAu Nanoshells Under Photothermal Irradiation [PDF]
Metallic nanoshells heat efficiently on excitation of the localized surface plasmon resonance (LSPR). Whilst investigating the photothermal properties of citrate‐stabilized hollow gold nanoshells (HGNs) synthesized using a sacrificial silver nanoparticle

Mechanisms of blueshifts in organic polariton condensates [PDF]
AbstractBose-Einstein condensates of exciton-polaritons in inorganic semiconductor microcavities are known to possess strong interparticle interactions attributed to their excitonic component. The interactions play a crucial role in the nonlinear dynamics of such systems and can be witnessed as the energy blueshifts of polariton states.

“Redshift / Blueshift Effect” of Perceptions and Reactions in Negotiations. A New Method of Behaviour Analysis Applied on Native vs. Non-Native Languages Negotiating Comparison [PDF]
Simulated negotiations in native language/Romanian and foreign language/English, by written messages with progressive degrees of aggressivity, revealed a general tendency of behavior.

THE IMPACT OF THE CONVECTIVE BLUESHIFT EFFECT ON SPECTROSCOPIC PLANETARY TRANSITS [PDF]
We present here a small anomalous radial velocity (RV) signal expected to be present in RV curves measured during planetary transits. This signal is induced by the convective blueshift (CB) effect --- a net blueshift emanating from the stellar surface ...

Optically Implemented Broadband Blueshift Switch in the Terahertz Regime
We experimentally demonstrate, for the first time, an optically implemented blueshift tunable metamaterial in the terahertz (THz) regime. The design implies two potential resonance states, and the photoconductive semiconductor (silicon) settled in the critical region plays the role of intermediary for switching the resonator from mode 1 to mode 2.

The smallest interacting universe
We study a mechanism by which the most basic structures of quantum physics can emerge from the most meager of starting points, a Hilbert space, lacking any preassigned structure such as a tensor decomposition, and a loss function.
