Blurred Correlation Versus Correlation Blur
2005We discuss the topic of correlation in a scale space setting. Correlation involves two distinct scales. The “outer scale” is the scale of the region over which the correlation will be calculated. Classically this is the whole space of interest, but in many cases one desires the correlation over some region of interest. The “inner scale” is the scale at

Sir Morgan and Benton suggest that the human visual system does not have a general motion deblurring mechanism because the threshold for descriminating the spacing between two bars is degraded significantly by image motion. However, image motion has only modest effects when compared with static spatial blur.

The various types of blurring occurring in radiography are examined. Experimental work was carried out by photometering density curves of a sharp edge and the densities were converted to exposures. For the case of screen blurring an exponential function was found to fit experimental results very well.

Artificial Intelligence for Engineering Design, Analysis and Manufacturing, 2007
Early research in artificial intelligence (AI) in design was “AI in the large.” Artificial intelligence promised a revolutionary approach to assisting or automating design processes, separate from other computational systems. As the field matures, “AI in the small” has the most potential.

Blurred target tracking by Blur-driven Tracker
2011 International Conference on Computer Vision, 2011Visual tracking plays an important role in many computer vision tasks. A common assumption in previous methods is that the video frames are blur free. In reality, motion blurs are pervasive in the real videos. In this paper we present a novel BLUr-driven Tracker (BLUT) framework for tracking motion-blurred targets.

Image blur classification and blur usefulness assessment
2017 IEEE International Conference on Multimedia & Expo Workshops (ICMEW), 2017Blur classification is an important and widely-studied problem in computer vision. State-of-the-art blur classification methods are designed and verified using man-made blur images of known blur types and blur kernels. In reality, natural blur occurs under wild-conditions, and thus cannot be simply simulated by several hand-crafted blur kernels. Hence,

ABSTRACTOur certainty about the definition of museums is disappearing and with it goes our assurance about where we are and what we are becoming. Observing visitors' use of the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum could cause us to change our understanding about how people use and act in museums.

Image Transformations and Blurring
IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, 2009Since cameras blur the incoming light during measurement, different images of the same surface do not contain the same information about that surface. Thus, in general, corresponding points in multiple views of a scene have different image intensities.
