Heart Failure Induced by Darolutamide in an Older Patient With M0 Castration‐Resistant Prostate Cancer: A Case Report

open access: yesIJU Case Reports, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Introduction Androgen receptor signaling inhibitors (ARSIs) improve survival in prostate cancer; however, it may increase cardiovascular risks, especially in elderly patients with heart disease. Case Presentation A 94‐year‐old man with aortic valve stenosis, hypertension, and diabetes had a nodal metastatic progression of prostate cancer at 88

Extrachromosomal Circular DNA: Emerging Insights Into Cardiovascular Disease Mechanisms and Biomarker Potential

open access: yesiLABMED, EarlyView.
Extrachromosomal circular DNA (eccDNA) has quite recently turned out to be a cardinal component in cardiovascular diseases (CVD), governing the gene expression and mechanisms of disease causation. Studies indicated an upregulation of eccDNA in pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH), which makes it strikingly potential as a sensitive and specific ...

Mitigating Trastuzumab‐Doxorubicin Cardiotoxicity With Multiscale Quantitative Systems Toxicology and PBPK‐Toxicodynamic Predictive Modeling Framework

open access: yesCPT: Pharmacometrics &Systems Pharmacology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Doxorubicin (DOX) and trastuzumab (TmAb) are widely used to treat HER2‐positive breast cancer (BC), as monotherapies and in combination (DOX + TmAb). While highly effective, their combined use significantly increases the risk of irreversible cardiotoxicity, posing a major clinical concern.

Correlated X‐Ray and Electron Microscopies of a Single Biphasic GaAs Nanowire

open access: yesSmall Methods, EarlyView.
Nano‐focused scanning X‐ray diffraction microscopy at a synchrotron light source, combined with transmission electron microscopy, reveals a clear correlation between the nanoscale distribution of cubic and hexagonal segments in a GaAs nanowire with subtle variations in inter‐reticular spacing, bending, and twisting.
