BLOC: Buildable and Linkable Organ on a Chip
We developed a “Buildable and Linkable Organ on a Chip” (BLOC) that can construct diverse microphysiological systems (MPSs). The BLOC is standardized to the same size and has one of the functions of “Culture,” “Control,” or “Analysis.” Users can freely configure various MPSs, including developing perfusion, cytotoxicity analysis, and biochemical ...

Neurological Basis of Bodily Self-Consciousness and Related Psychopathologies

Respiratory Signal Processing and Analysis Using Flexible Capacitive Sensor Data
Capacitive pressure sensors based on poly(glycerol sebacate) (PGS) substrates are developed for continuous, non‐invasive respiratory monitoring. Integrated with a signal processing algorithm, they enable accurate tracking of thoracic expansion and retraction.

The sensorimotor foundations of bodily self-consciousness in utero
In this review, we look at recent work that examines the genesis of conscious awareness in utero in humans. We focus on observable behaviours that suggest a state of anticipatory perceptual awareness evident in the foetal period, and the foetus’ first expression of agency through self-generative engagement with it.

Integrating proprioceptive capabilities in balloon‐type robots enhances safe human–machine interactions. Traditional pressure estimates are inadequate due to nonlinear relationships. Instead, embedding stretchable sensors effectively measures deformation. This design optimizes sensor geometry to minimize damage risks.
