Wireless Body Area Networks

2014
This chapter highlights the importance of localization in relation to on-body area networks and gives a broad overview of localization methods and technologies. Most of the material is relative to indoor localization, because that is where body-area networks are mostly relevant.

Wireless Body Area Networks

2020
Wireless body area networks (WBANs) are valuable solutions for healthcare lifestyle monitoring applications which allow the continuous screening of health data and constant access to patients despite their current locality or activity, with a fraction of the cost of regular face-to-face examination.

Semantic Wireless Body Area Networks

2008 30th Annual International Conference of the IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society, 2008
In this paper we introduce the concept of semantic Wireless Body Area Network (sWBAN). First the method for semantic interpretation of body sensor data is developed. This method is then illustrated for the case of ECG monitoring, providing the user with real-time monitoring and interpretation of heart activity.

Wireless Body Area Network

International Journal of Reliable and Quality E-Healthcare, 2013
The Wireless Body Area Network (WBAN) promises a great revolution in the field of electronic health technology in the future. These types of networks are, in fact, collections of low-priced small sensors with low voltage and computational power as well as insufficient energy capacitors which are located on the human body.
