The disappearance of laminar and turbulent wakes in complex flows

open access: yes, 2002
The singular effects of steady large-scale external strain on the viscous wake generated by a rigid body and the overall flow field are analysed. In an accelerating flow strained at a positive rate, the vorticity field is annihilated owing to positive ...

Kinetics of bifilarly-controlled movement of free bodies

open access: yesВесці Нацыянальнай акадэміі навук Беларусі: Серыя фізіка-тэхнічных навук, 2016
A free solid body S regular movement in accordance with some wanted time-space rule is considered. This movement is effected by a system of forces, including the appropriate distributed mass forces of inertia of the body, its constant force of gravity ...

CAR T‐Cell Therapy in Neurology: A Scoping Review of Neuro‐Oncology, Autoimmune Diseases & Neurotoxicity

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T‐cell therapy has been investigated in neurological diseases, encompassing both central nervous system malignancies and autoimmune disorders, thereby extending its application beyond hematological cancers.

A three-body confinement force in constituent quark models

open access: yes, 2001
We discuss the role of a three-body colour confinement interaction introduced on algebraic grounds and present some implications fpor the spectra of baryons, tetraquarks and six-quark systems within a simple model.

Recurrent Hypothermia and Autonomic Dysfunction Secondary to Shapiro Syndrome

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT A 44‐year‐old man presented with recurrent hypothermia, diaphoresis and hypertension. Extensive investigation for infectious, inflammatory, metabolic and endocrine aetiologies was negative. MR scan of the brain demonstrated no lesions but revealed callosal dysgenesis, consistent with Shapiro syndrome.

Long‐Term Efficacy of Immunotherapy in Autoimmune Autonomic Ganglionopathy—A 10‐Year Follow Up Study

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Objective Autoimmune autonomic ganglionopathy (AAG) is a rare but potentially treatable cause of severe autonomic failure. Evidence guiding long‐term immunotherapy, treatment sequencing, and residual autonomic impairment is limited. We evaluated long‐term treatment response, residual autonomic dysfunction, and relapse patterns in patients with

Factors affecting the dynamic response of the body and the vibration transmitted through seats

open access: yes, 2010
The vibration transmitted through a seat is influenced by the dynamics of the seat and thedynamics of the occupant. The principal objective of this thesis is to understand how the dynamicsof the body and factors affecting the dynamics of the body ...

Metabolic and Microvascular Risk Factors Associated With Brain Health in Type 1 Diabetes

open access: yesAnnals of Clinical and Translational Neurology, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT We examined relationships between metabolic factors, microvascular complications, and brain health in adults with type 1 diabetes. Fifty‐one adults were assessed for metabolic risk factors, microvascular complications, and cognitive function, with a subset completing brain MRI.
