A body-force model for waterjet pump simulation
Applied Ocean Research, 2019Abstract The role of waterjet pump is to generate thrust by increasing the flow head. Details of the flow inside waterjet pump are important when pump performance is of the main interest. However, in waterjet self-propulsion, pump induced effects are of the main interest rather than the details of the flow inside the pump. This permits simplification

Derivation of Body Force Model Under Ocean Conditions
The floating nuclear power plant (FNPP) is recently received increasing attention in China. The effects of ship motions on the working fluid of marine-type reactor are not only a change of effective gravity, but also an appearance of additional forces, which requires further researches.

Modeling forces on the human body
The Physics Teacher, 1999Several simulations involving the human body, using the simulation software Interactive Physics™, are used to analyze the forces during both static situations and dynamic collisions. The connection of the simulations with the biological sciences and with sports activities should make them appealing to both high school and college-level physics students.

Three-body forces in the SO(8) model
Physical Review C, 1989The SO(8) fermion pair model in its original version is unable to describe rigid axial rotation. Using the Hartree-Bogolyubov intrinsic state within an exact Schwinger realization of SO(8) we show that this can be remedied by introducing a cubic quadrupole interaction. Prolate and oblate minima are found and the degeneracy of the ..gamma..

The three-body force in the Skyrme model
Physica Scripta, 1989The long-range part of the three-nucleon interaction is calculated in the Skyrme model using the symmetrized product ansatz. It is shown that it may be interpreted as a P-wave pion rescattering interaction. The main component could also be calculated as an effective interaction by elimination of the explicit Δ33-degrees of freedom.

Hydrodynamic Force Modeling of an Irregular Body
OCEANS 2018 MTS/IEEE Charleston, 2018As an important part of the aircraft, the protective shell can protect the aircraft and other payloads. But it will become an irregular body falling into water when it is abandoned. The hydrodynamic force of the irregular body is complex and hard to express.

Three-body forces in the quark model
2008The constituent quark model has been very useful for the description of many physical properties of baryons, achieving in most cases a fair agreement with the experimental data 1 The model is based on a non relativistic QCD-inspired dynamics including a harmonic oscillator (h.o.) confinement potential and a spin dependent (hyperfine) interaction.
