Formation of Fibrillar Boehmite
Journal of Porous Materials, 1999Fibrillar boehmite is a synthetic form of alumina where the morphology is in the form of fibrils instead of the normal corpuscular form. It is prepared from basic aluminium chloride. In this study a molar ratio of Cl−/Al2O3 of 1 was used. During the preparation the crystallinity of the product increases with time up to 48 h of crystallization.

Adsorption mechanism for removing different species of fluoride by designing of core-shell boehmite.
Journal of Hazardous Materials, 2020Many kinds of adsorbents have been developed for removing fluoride from water. However, the unclear actual mechanism of fluoride adsorption greatly restricts the structural design and application of novel adsorbents.

Clays and Clay Minerals, 2000
AbstractThe persistence of many seemingly metastable mineral assemblages in sediments and soils is commonly attributed to their sluggish transformation to the stable-phase assemblage. Although undoubtedly kinetics plays a major role, this study shows that thermodynamic factors, particularly surface energy, significantly influence the free energy ...
