Boehmite-supported vanadium oxide catalysts
Applied Catalysis A: General, 1998Abstract Two crystalline boehmites obtained by hydrothermal synthesis at 393 and 473 K have been studied as model supports for vanadium oxide, deposited by the equilibrium adsorption method. Supports and catalysts have been characterized by X-ray Diffraction, TGA, TEM, UV-Visible and Near Infrared Diffuse Reflectance Spectroscopy, FT-IR, XPS and 27 ...

Hydrometallurgy, 2004
This work presents the developments made in the Laboratory of Metallurgy of the National Technical University of Athens in the field of boehmite precipitation from supersaturated sodium aluminate solutions under atmospheric conditions. Initially, the boehmite process is described by giving emphasis to kinetic problems that reduce the process efficiency

Properties of the boehmitized aluminium surface
Surface Technology, 1982Abstract The system boehmitized aluminium-aqueous solution was investigated over a broad pH range by contact angle and ζ potential measurements. Both measurements gave significant results. The contact angle as a function of pH shows a pronounced maximum, while the ζ potential is a linear function of pH.

Electrochemistry of the boehmite—water interface
Colloids and Surfaces, 1990Abstract The surface charge and the zeta potential of boehmite have been determined as a function of pH and KNO 3 concentration. The two-p k triple-layer site-binding model has been used to describe the electrical properties of the boehmite-water interface.
