Adsorption of α-Alanine on Boehmite

Journal of Colloid and Interface Science, 1997
The adsorption of alpha-alanine on boehmite is effected at room temperature in aqueous solutions at different pH values (2.5, 6.0, 12.2). The different forms of alpha-alanine prevalent in the different media result in different modes of adsorption, different uptakes that generally increase with pH, and different responses of the pore structure of ...

The Crystal Structure of Synthetic Boehmite

The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1946
Crystal structure computations have been made for synthetic boehmite, the α-modification of aluminum oxide monohydrate, using the powder method. The experimental data were found to fit an orthorhombic lattice with constants a0 = 2.859A, b0 = 12.24A, and c0 = 3.691A.

Reactive hot pressing of boehmite

2011
The compaction behaviour of boehmite has been studied under isothermal conditions, with special emphasis devoted to hot pressing in the temperature range 300 to 600°C. The present work indicates that it is possible to produce a hard dense compact under certain conditions. However, the behaviour of the material during reactive hot pressing appears to be

About boehmite and beyond

1997
The distribution of cationic vacancies in transition aluminas obtained by dehydration of boehmite has been investigated using HRTEM combined with an image simulation technique. Interstitial vacancies in a cubic-packed oxygen network have been found to be concentrated in an orderly fashion on low indexed lattice planes like the {110} and {100} planes of
