An efficient route to aqueous phase synthesis of nanocrystalline γ-Al2O3 with high porosity: From stable boehmite colloids to large pore mesoporous alumina [PDF]
In this paper we emphasise the important role of Pluronic F127 on the porosity of mesoporous alumina prepared from boehmite colloids. By focusing on the F127/boehmite interactions we show how the concepts of interface science may help to predict and ...

Cu─O─Al Interfacial Engineering on Cu Nanowires for Durable CO2 Electroreduction Into Multi-Carbon Products. [PDF]
A Cu nanowire/AlOx core‐shell catalyst is reported for CO2 electroreduction. Acting as a Lewis acid, the AlOx shell not only stabilizes Cu+ species at the Cu─O─Al interface but also creates an alkaline local microenvironment via *OH adsorption. This dual functionality stabilizes the catalyst structure while promoting the C─C coupling process, resulting

Flower-like boehmite nanopowders obtained at low temperature from Bayer liquor [PDF]
Boehmite nanocrystalline powders were obtained by neutralization of Bayer liquor at 70 °C with addition of glucose. Temperature of the neutralization induced formation of the flower-like morphology of the nanopowders.

Mechanism of reduced sintering temperature of Al2O3–ZrO2 nanocomposites obtained by microwave hydrothermal synthesis [PDF]
A novel method to obtain Al2O3–ZrO2 nanocomposites is presented. It consists of the co-precipitation step of boehmite (AlO(OH)) and ZrO2, followed by microwave hydrothermal treatment at 270 °C and 60 MPa, and by calcination at 600 °C.
