Intragranular carbon nanotubes in alumina-based composites for reinforced ceramics [PDF]
The traditional methods for the synthesis of reinforced alumina-based matrix composites with carbon nanotubes (CNTs) have presented serious difficulties for obtaining well-dispersed and homogeneously distributed CNTs within the matrix.

Statistical framework for condensation frosting incipience on smooth and nanostructured surfaces
A statistical framework for frost incipience that considers the effect of surface wettability and captures the stochastic nature of both nucleation dynamics for condensation and droplet growth during the subsequent freezing process. Abstract Frost and ice formation on a solid surface is governed by nanoscale liquid‒solid intermolecular interactions ...

A new approach to synthesis and growth of nanocrystalline AlOOH with high pore volume [PDF]
In this study, AlOOH nanostructures were successfully synthesized using the solvothermal method at 180°C. The effects of the pH of the solution (3, 4.5, 6.5, 10 and 12.5) on the synthesized samples were investigated systematically in detail, when ethanol

Product Scope and Reactivity in Hydrothermal Conversion of Polyethylene With Solid Catalysts
The addition of solid catalysts to the hydrothermal conversion of polyethylene increases the conversion and promotes the formation of naphtha‐like compounds when using CeO2, and aromatic compounds when using aluminosilicates. The reusability of these catalyst materials was demonstrated as they retained catalytic activity upon reuse.

Research of morphology and relief of calciumphosphate bemit-containing biocoatings [PDF]
In this work, the influence of boehmite nanoparticles deposition on the calcium phosphate microarc coatings properties (morphology, porosity and elemental composition) was studied. Experimental results show that the introduction of boehmite nanoparticles

Influence of the catalyst support on the steam reforming performance of toluene as tar model compound [PDF]
The large amount of tar produced along with the syngas during biomass gasification is one of the major obstacle for the diffusion of gasifiers at industrial scale. Catalytic cracking and reforming are the most suitable processes for the transformation of
