Bogdanov-Takens bifurcation in indirect field oriented control of induction motor drives

2004 43rd IEEE Conference on Decision and Control (CDC) (IEEE Cat. No.04CH37601), 2004
We explore further the occurrence of bifurcations in the indirect field oriented control of induction motors. This study is a continuation of previous publications. New results reveal the occurrence of codimension-two bifurcation phenomena, such as a Bogdanov-Takens bifurcation.

Chaotic Zone in the Bogdanov-Takens Bifurcation for Diffeomorphisms

2003
We consider a two-parametric analytic family of diffeomorphisms near the Bogdanov-Takens bifurcation. It is known that if the parameters belong to a homoclinic zone, the map has homoclinic points. The width of the homoclinic zone is exponentially small. We derive an asymptotic formula for the width of the homoclinic zone.

PRACTICAL COMPUTATION OF NORMAL FORMS ON CENTER MANIFOLDS AT DEGENERATE BOGDANOV–TAKENS BIFURCATIONS

International Journal of Bifurcation and Chaos, 2005
Simple computational formulas are derived for the two-, three-, and four-order coefficients of the smooth normal form on the center manifold at the Bogdanov–Takens (nonsemisimple double-zero) bifurcation for n-dimensional systems with arbitrary n ≥ 2.

Bogdanov-Takens Bifurcation in SIRI Model with Multiple Reinfection of COVID-19

Malaysian Journal of Science
Abstract In the presence of cases of COVID-19 reinfection, we propose a SIRI (Susceptible-Infected-Recovery-Infected) spread model of two COVID-19 variants. This model considers the possibility of individuals becoming reinfected with the same or different variants, although the risk of reinfection with the same variant remains lower due to natural ...
